DIRECTOR – KENTON HALL
Kenton Hall is the writer, director and co-producer of “A Dozen Summers”. His credits are detailed elsewhere on this site, so he has chosen to use this space to nominate his favourite cereal as “Special K” for reasons that should be obvious.
Producer - Alexzandra Jackson
Alexzandra Jackson is a film-maker, educator and the festival director of “The Short Cinema” - the East Midlands' premiere short film festival. She is passionate about art and film, but hates talking about herself. In fact, you are extremely fortunate that she has allowed us to put up a photograph and not a stick figure drawing with the face crossed out.
Director of Photography - Geoffrey Gilson
Geoff is a film-maker, based in the East Midlands, who specialises in photography, motion graphics and post production. He also has magical powers, which are regularly harnessed in the service of cinema. Otherwise, it would be world domination this, world domination that – so be glad he’s on our side.
Art Director - Gurdeep Sian
G Sian is an artist, film-maker, tutor and photographer with an experimental bent, who believes strongly in the power of art to transform and inspire. He is extremely patient with Kenton’s habit of shouting, “Press the make-pretty button!” when he can’t think of the technical terms.
Assistant Director/Sound Recordist - Phillip Walker
Philip Walker is a film-maker, editor and actor who, with The Zone UK, specialises in powerful, life-affirming documentaries and narrative films. He also has a microphone called “Ted” of which the children were incredibly fond.
SOUND DESIGNER – Alan Dunwell
Alan Dunwell is a Leicester-based sound designer and mixer.Originally a sound designer for animation, Alan has been taking the skills he learned creating custom soundscapes and effects and transferring them to narrative feature and short films.
COMPOSER – Andrew Stamp
Andrew Stamp is a British Canadian film composer and the third member of an unholy trinity of Canadians who snuck on to this movie. He writes original music for film, television and video games, specializing in family and children features. Andrew is classically trained in flute performance and composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and has enjoyed a successful career as a soloist and orchestral musician. Previous credits include Ghost Goggles, Moo Moo and The Three Witches and Lucky Charm.
ORIGINAL SONGS – ist
ist are Kenton Hall, John McCourt, Brett Richardson and Mark “Flash” Haynes. Originally formed in 2000, the band split in 2010 due to reasons, but reformed to write original songs for Hall’s A Dozen Summers. Everyone survived the sessions, and the subsequent reunion show, so they’re taking that as a win.
